At the beginning you will pay more, but investing in a property in the good neighborhood close to transit will pay well in the future when you decide to sell.
You may think you shouldn’t buy the least expansive house in the neighborhood because the home will compare poorly to the other homes when you decide to sell. But it may be a good idea because the property may already be discounted because it looks less appealing compare with other properties and provides far more upside if you upgrade it in the future. Also bigger houses will continue to keep property values high. Getting your foot in the right address is the first step.
